A program to help parents going through the process of divorce and separation increase their understanding and awareness of the detrimental impact of divorce on their children; learn effective strategies to co-parent so as to mitigate the negative impact of divorce on children.
Divorce is a journey that the children involved do not ask to take. They are forced along for a ride where the results are dictated by the road their parents decide to travel.

Impact of Divorce on Children
- Divorce impacts not only parents, but all children
- Children become “victims” of parental toxicity
- Significant detrimental impact on children’s attachment to parents
- Critical to intervene early in the divorce process
Our Assumptions
- Both parents love their children
- Both parents want to do what is in the best interest of their children
- The toxicity of the relationship impedes their perceptions and behavior
- Intentions don’t always translate to actions
- Children are often “collateral damage”
Our Approach
- We meet with both moms and dads – sometimes together but most of the time separately
- We have moms and dads alternate bringing children to appointments
- Children see that both parents support the process
- We maintain a neutral and objective stance with regard to both parents
- We assess and evaluate everything from the children’s perspective
