The Prema Center

Our Practice

With over 25 years of experience working with children and families, we realize there is a need for resources that help families face everyday life challenges. Children do not come with manuals and raising children with different developmental abilities, temperaments, and personalities without any training can be overwhelming! We believe every parent can raise a child to be confident, independent, and self-sufficient.

“Prema” means unconditional and selfless love in Sanskrit. At the Prema Center, we believe that unconditional love and acceptance are the foundation of healthy children and happy families.

The professionals at Prema Center specialize in a range of clinical conditions, while emphasizing a proactive, preventive approach that fosters resiliency and wellness. The Prema Center offers children and parents an array of resources that enhance confidence and an overall sense of well-being. We specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and also take an integrative approach utilizing aspects of Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Dialetical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness and Family Systems. At Prema Center, we pride ourselves in providing individualized attention to every child and family that seeks our services. We are aware that it “takes a village to raise a child” and work collaboratively with parents and other professionals, including pediatricians, psychiatrists, neurologists, school counselors and social workers.
